Day 1 •Depart North America for Shanghai, China

Day 2 • Arrive in Shanghai

Welcome to Shanghai, the financial and fashion center of China! Upon arriving at the airport, a Super Value representative will welcome and escort you to the hotel for dinner. Afterwards, spend time exploring the area or rest for tomorrow’s sightseeing. (Dinner)

Day 3

Day 3 • Shanghai • Hangzhou

Today's sightseeing journey begins in the new district of Pudong where you will see various cultural landmarks. Explore Lujiazui financial district and walk along Binjiang Avenue, offering the best views of the historic Bund and symbolic Oriental Pearl Tower. Next, visit the much loved Old City God Temple and Yu Garden for shopping and dining. After lunch, take a stroll through the affluent Xin Tian Di Plaza, notable for its blend of traditional Chinese and modern Western styles architectures. Before leaving Shanghai, explore Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s former residence. Tonight, check-in to your hotel in Hangzhou city with some free time before dinner. (3 meals)

Binjiang Avenue in Pudong
Located along the east bank of Huangpu River, the opposite side having the best view of the bund. A tour spot with sightseeing and environmental greening. Also along the riverside boulevard there is the world famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower, an attractive sight to admire.
Century Park
The largest ecological urban park of Shanghai, occupying an area of 350 acres. The park contains mainly large lawns, forests, lakes and various kinds of cultural and recreational facilities.
Lujiazui Financial District
Literally the “Lu’s Mouth”, an important international financial district of the city Pudong, Shanghai.
Pudong New Area
Represented by modern-style architectural structures such as Century Park, Lu Jia Zui financial & Trading Zone, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and Binjiang Avenue.
The former residence of Mr. Sun Yat sen
This founder of the Chinese Republic and his wife Ms. Soong Ching-ling resided in this 2-story European-style house from 1918-1924. Here, Mr. Sun went out with the old and in with the new Democracy and the first Kuomingtang Communist Party Cooperation.
The Old City God’s Temple
A major yet relatively inactive Taoist Temple in Shanghai. The place encompasses the lingering presence of the Ming and Ching Dynasty traditions, now a popular sightseeing spot with fun shopping and great food.
Xin Tian Di Plaza
This heart of Shanghai is where yesterday meets tomorrow. Before the development of Xin Tian Di Plaza of Shanghai, the encompassed area has been a spread of aged lanes crowded with mid-19th century Shikumen buildings which have witnessed the changes of time. The area has the remaining essence of old traditional Chinese fused with the new Western style, evident in the restaurants, shops, and various entertainments. It is the newest, hottest must-see in Shanghai.

Day 4

Day 4 • Hangzhou

Start your day in the beautiful gardens of Hangzhou. Visit Xihu, or West Lake, and walk along the Bai Causeway, sample Long Jing tea on a peaceful water front lake, and hop aboard a traditional open top boat to enjoy a magnificent scenic view. See the elegant carvings of the “Peak Flown From Afar”, dating from the Song dynasty, and find yourself surrounded by the serene nature of the Lingyin temple. Next, take a slow stroll through the old town of Tunxi, a visitors' paradise full of shops with souvenirs at great prices. Finish the day by checking-in to your hotel. (3 meals)

Bai Causeway
Originally called “White Sand Causeway”, this 1,000 meter east-west causeway lies calmly in the lake. Baidi is named after a Tang Dynasty poet, Bai Juyi, who had irrigation works built when serving as the area’s prefectural governor. In spring, young green willow branches are tossed among red peach flowers on the causeway, resembling a splendid woven ribbon. You will be amazed with the picturesque scenery of both the lake and surrounding hills along your stroll.
Hangzhou
The capital of Zhejiang province and its political, economic and cultural center. With its famous natural beauty and cultural heritage, Hangzhou is one of China’s most important tourist venues.
Sudi
Named to commemorate Su Dongpo (960-1127), who had irrigation works built when he was governor of the city. It is both relaxing and romantic to stroll the causeway either by bike or a battery car (arranged by Super Value Tours), past trees of age-old, weeping willows along the embankment swaying in the haze and a sea of peach flowers. The view is so intoxicating that it has been reputed as the most magnificient sight of the West Lake landscape beauties since the Song and Yuan Dynasties.
Lingyin Temple
Literally translated as “Temple of the Soul Retreat”, as one of China’s most celebrated Buddhist temples, it is also the most magnificent and splendid temple in Yangtze south. These buildings of imposing elevation display a luxurious richness with its elegant carvings, a striking contrast with the indifferent spirit found in a common drtemple.
Tunxi Ancient Street
In the center Tunxi district, where the Huangshan city government is located, the street’s history dates back from the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It is paved with maroon flagstones with a lengths of 1,273 meters (about 1,392 yards), of which 895 meters (about 979 yards) comprises the pedestrian commercial street. Shops standing 2 or 3 stories line both sides of the street. They feature the local Anhui-style stone base, brick construction and tile roofs. Its reputation as “the moving picture by the river of pure brightness.” Of the hundreds stores standing, 60 have been in business for over a century. The local commodities of an international fame include the famous “Tunli”, “Qihong”, Huizhou’s inkstick, Shexian’s inkslab (two of the “four treasure of the study” in china), lacquer-ware, bamboo weaving, and local produce such as herbs and snacks.
West Lake
Undoubtedly the most renowned feature of Hangzhou. The lake is noted for its scenic beauty that blends naturally with the many famous historical and cultural sites. A famous Song dynasty poet described the sight, "ripping water shimmering on a sunny day, misty mountains shrouded the rain.” The lake’s natural charm has been enhanced by artificial restoration since Tang and Song Dynasties. Following Super Value’s tour-guiding, both detailed and creative, you will experience and enjoy all the delights this world-famous lake offers.

Day 5

Day 5 • Huangshan

Today, visit the impressively ancient Hongcun. Afterwards, we begin our journey on Huangshan, known worldwide as the Yellow Mountain, with a cable car ride which will take you from the Cloud Valley Temple to Shixin Feng (Beginning to Believe Peak). Shixin Feng features views so jaw-dropping, they have been described as a Chinese landscape painting come to life. See the fantastically shaped rocks at San Hua Wa (Sunken Flower bed) and the Cloud Dispersing Pavilion and its majestic natural scenery. (3 meals)

Ancient Hui-Style residence
Located at the foot of Mt. Huangshan, Southern Anhui, these residential houses and temples have long been exemplary of Hui-style architecture. The buildings were well arranged and the design of the village intentionally enhanced the accessibility of water. In addition to the impressive beautiful and tranquil landscape, hills at its edge, houses with black tiles and white walls, and bridges throughout, as you stroll through any of the residences, you will be marveled at the Hui-Style gardens, miniature trees, elaborate and exquisite carvings in brick, stone, and wood collectively known as “the tree carvings” of Hui Style. It is these designs and decorations that best represent Chinese culture.
Beginning to believe Peak
A poet in the Ming Dynasty, Xiyuan Huang, visited this infamous scenic spot expressed his experience as being in a dreamy Chinese painting. He exclaimed that he would have never believed in the marvel of Huangshan’s beauty until he saw the peak with his own eyes. The site entails the fantastic forms of pines that are individually unique, where there does not appear to be even a two of a kind that exist in Huangshan.
Bright Summit Peak
The second highest peak in Mt. Huangshan, about 1860 meters (about 6,102 feet). Located in the central part of the mountain and often considered a demarcation that divides the yellow mountain between the front and the back mountain. A great place to appreciate the concentration of Huangshan’s best scenic attractions - East sea, West sea, North sea, and Heavenly sea. Standing on top, one can see the gradual landscape changes from the Shanshui-painting-like scenery in the North and West sea scenic areas to the magnificent peaks such as the Heavenly Capital peak soaring up directly from the ground. It is said that the real beauty of Huangshan is only recognized when one reaches the Bright Summit Peak.
Cloud Dispersing Pavilion
Also one of the five major viewing spots in Huangshan. Facing the west sea of great canyon, viewers marvel at the peaks piled one on top of the other. This is the most visited place in rear Mountain, where one can appreciate the splendor of mountainous layers and admire their scenery in depth. To witness the misty clouds ascending from the deep valley and forests of coloful, visionary rocks is breathtaking. Many find it to be the best place to catch the sunset.
Hongcun
Located in the southwest slope of Mt. Huangshan, the village is arranged in the shape of an “ox.” A nearby hill (Leigang Hill) is interpreted as the herd, and the two trees standing above it marks the horns. Four bridges across the Jiyin stream can be seen as the legs and the houses of village form the body, a typical example of a Hui-style residence. Today approximately over 150 residences dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties are said to be among the best of their kind in China.
Huangshan
“Yellow Mountain” is one of the most notable mountains in China. World wide, it is as wonderful as the great Canyons or Niagara falls. It is renowned to be the most beautiful mountain range in the country. The startling, cloud-cloaked peaks of Huangshan have been celebrated by poets and painters for centuries. The area is famous for its scenery, sunset, peculiarly-shaped granite peaks, Huangshan pine trees, and views of clouds above. The area is also famous for the hot springs and natural pools. Today it is a Unesco World Heritage site for both domestic and international tourists.
Huangshan
Another one of the five major scenic spots named by Ruting Huang in Ming Dynasty. Toward the end of spring each year, flowers in blossom decorate the valleys in riots of color, making it an ideal spot to view unusual rocks such as Menbishenghua (the Tip of a Magic writing Brush), Camel Peak, Jiang Tai Gong Fishing, and Flying-in clock.

Day 6

Day 6 • Huangshan • Hangzhou

From your hotel situated in the Huangshan, you will have 3 routes to choose from:

  • Ascend to the breathtaking sights of the 2nd highest peak in Huangshan - Bright Summit Peak and (descend and ascend to the next peak) to Turtle Peak. Then enjoy the view of Lotus Flower Peak from the platform at Turtle Peak and continue to the scaling ladders (or steep) of One Hundred Steps Cloud Stairs and be mesmerized by the heavenly feeling of entering a sea of clouds and mist. Lastly, travel around the mountain to the Jade Screen Tower that perched high amongst the mist and cloud, which also reputed as the “imperial palace in heaven”. You will also have lunch at the Jade Screen Tower and then descend the mountain by cable car at the Yungu Telpher. (4 hours hike and especially strenuous from Turtle Peak to 100 steps ladder, very steep and treacherous climb)

  • Ascend Fei Lai Shi (Rock Flown From Afar) or Bright Summit Peak, two of the most famous sights in Huangshan and have lunch at the your hotel and descend the mountain by cable car from Cloud Valley Station. (3 hours hike, average on stress)

  • Spend leisure time at the hotel and meet the group for lunch. (FIT)

100-step Scaling Ladder
It consists a total of 208 steps. The steep ladder is inlaid in a precipitous cliff, fenced in with stone posts and iron chains. The last section of the path to the top is about 30m long and 1m wide hunch-backed stocky ridge rising up from a deep ravine, allowing passage for only one person. On a windy day, the walk will feel as if you are waling into a sea of clouds and mist, thrilling and exciting.
Aoyu Peak
Located 1,780 meters above sea level. Standing on its platform, one is surprisingly greeted by a charming gentle sight of the Lotus Flower Peak, Jade Screen Peak, and Celestial Capital Peak. The intimidating yet charming views of Huangshan feasting your eyes are simply unforgettable. One of the scenic spots here is the Aoyu cave mid-way on the Mountain.
Jade Screen Pavilion
1,680m above sea level and situated in the center of Jade Screen Scenic Area is the Jade Screen of the heaven. It is a unique experience to watch white clouds drift down after the rain, picturesque mountain peaks, fantastic rock formations and green pines are enveloped in mist, with only their tops visible in front of the pavilion. there are the Guest-Greeting Pine Guest-Sending-Off Pine, Guest-Accompanying Pine and Guest-Gazing Pine.
Lotus Flower Peak
The highest Peak in the Yellow Mountain. This 1864m (about 6115 feet) high peak looks like a blooming lotus, surrounded by a group of lower peaks such as Lianxin peak. On the way to the peak, you will be greeted by Huangshan Pines and Azalea. In clear weather, you may be fortunate enough to see Mountain Tianmu in the east, Mountain Lushan in the east, and Mountain Jiuhua and the Yangtze River in the north. After rain, you can see the sea of clouds surging around you.
Magic and fascination scenic Area
A plank sightseeing road built on the face of cliffs snaking into unique scenes of oddly shaped pines, fantastic rocks, spectacular peaks and serene valleys. With fewer visitors at this recently developed site, it is the ideal area to appreciate the beauty of the mountains in peace.
Peak flying from Afar (Rock Flown From Afar)
A treasure stone cave art from ancient times, seldom seen in the Yangtze River Delta. A famous Chinese Poet Su Dongpo wrote "every part of the streams and mountains are suitable for making a house, but Linyin and The Peak Flying from Afar are most liked."
Qing Liang Tai
One of the five major scenic spots in Huangshan and the optimal place to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise. One can see “Eighteen Arhats Facing the South Seas” at a distance. “Zhu Ba jie Eats watermelon” and “Flying-in Rock”. There sits fan-shaped pine tree with a history of over 300 hundred years.

Day 7

Day 7 •Hangzhou • Suzhou

Visit the Venice of South China – Wuzhen, an ancient water-town in Yangtze South. Next, explore Suzhou Liu Yuan, or Lingering Gardens. Built during the Ming Dynasty, Suzhou Liu Yuan remains one of the most famous traditional gardens in China. We continue to the Dongling Silk Institute for a presentation of the silk making process. Next, travel to the famous Shantang ancient street and sail along the canal. Enjoy the night with a dinner and show, consisting of a live performance of PingTan, or musical storytelling. (3 meals)

Dongling Silk Institute
It is the first research center for appraising silkworm products, where tourists can see the entire process of silkworm-rearing and silk-weaving. The quality silk products available for buying in stores are exported world wide. Examples include but not limit to suits, scarves, ties, embroideries and even blankets. Here you can find semi-finished products, including jacquards, in all brilliant colors and designs.
Suzhou Liu Yuan (Lingering Gardens)
Occupying an area of 23,300 square meters (about 5.8 acres), the Lingering Garden is located outside Changmen Gate in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Originally a classic private garden, it is one of the four most famous gardens in China, possessing typical Qing style and well-known for its exquisite beauty of its magnificent halls, and various sizes, shapes, and colors of the buildings. In 1997, the garden was recorded on the list of the world heritage by UESCO.
Wuzhen
A water town located south of the Yangtze River in Zhejiang Province. Flat and low in elevation, the land allows lakes are seen dotted here and there, with rivers and canals crisscrossing in between. Boating around the clean water network, or lingering in the lanes, one can better feel the serenity, peacefulness, romance, and subtle beauty of the Jiang Nan water town.

Day 8

Day 8 •Suzhou • Shanghai

Before leaving Suzhou, visit Tiger Hill, a popular destination for locals known for its historical sites and beauty. Upon arrival in Shanghai, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, adventure the city, and see the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe. (Breakfast and Lunch)

Shantang Ancient Street
The street is composed of two parts. The westernmost end of the street is Tiger Hill and visitors can take a traditional-style boat to sail along the canal and appreciate the beautiful landscape of a water town. The east end used to be a shopping and housing district, where the traditional life of the Suzhou local people was still evident. Prosperity has returned to these streets, now lined with stores and fairs on either side.
Tiger Hills
A popular tourist destination known for its natural beauty and famous historical sites, named accordingly because it is said to look like a crouching tiger. Another legend described that a white tiger appeared on the hill to serve as a guardian following the burial of King Helü. The hill is sometimes referred to in parallel with "Lion Mountain", another hill near Suzhou which clearly resembles a sitting lion.
